Mindfulness for Business
It’s more important now than ever for businesses to be focused on their employee’s mental health and well being.
Without efficient, well balanced and healthy staff, your business could suffer high levels of staff sickness or stress, which may have an impact on the productivity and profitability of your business. Now is the time to look at what your staff need in the workplace, to help them be the best version of themselves.
In 2017/18 it was reported by hse.go.uk that there were more than 595,000 workers in the UK suffering from work-related stress, depression or anxiety, whilst there were an estimated 15.4m working days lost due to work-related stress, depression or anxiety in the same period.
The benefits of bringing Mindfulness into your workplace include; reduction in stress, lower sickness rates, increased motivation, creativity and innovation, improving staffs ability to problem solve and provide ideas. It can help to build leadership skills, where empathy is needed in culture change environments.
Providing a space for staff to be fully present, allows their minds to be open to possibilities, to settle their active minds and be energised for the day or week ahead.
Over the past 6-months, I have been working with businesses that are putting the mental well being of their staff at the forefront of their business strategy. Working alongside John Lewis Chelmsford, Teledyne E2V, The Children’s Society and Croud we are bringing Mindfulness in the workplace to help staff manage stress and anxiety.
