Bliss Mindfulness 6-Week Relaxation Course at the Nesting Place
Stress is the number 1 chronic condition around the world affecting our physical and mental health. As humans we have lost the ability to switch off our busy minds and muscles to relax. We use various methods of activity to keep us going and try to push stress down within us or carry on regardless to how we are feeling.
We are a society that is overwhelmed, tired and overly stimulated. We need to prioritise time for rest and renewal and this course will help you unwind and enjoy being in our own company to relax the mind and body.
This 6-week course is the antidote to chronic stress. Over the course you will understand the impacts of stress, to give yourself permission to relax and have some tools to allow you to rest and make it a priority in the day.
Here is a guide to what will be included through the 6-weeks:
Week 1- Stress- The impact on our bodies and minds- how we try to control and hold onto our lives generating stress.
Week 2- Balance- Dropping the weight of stress and letting go of stress.
Week 3- Rest and relax- how this is also an active task.
Week 4- Creating space in the body and mind- Opening up so we can relax.
Week 5- Nourishing yourself with relaxation- taking care of you through techniques.
Week 6- Appreciation of rest- using gratitude to help unwind and relax.
In each class we will go through some guided visualisations and body scans to help us develop a stronger awareness of stress in the body and how our minds generate thoughts to increase stress through worry and concern.
There will be two different options to join us for the 6-week course. I will be coming back to my classroom version of this course which will be held in the wonderful Nesting Place in Chelmsford. I am also doing a Zoom option for you to be in your home and this will be recorded and sent out weekly as an added bonus to practice our relaxation techniques.
For the 6-week course to be held in The Nesting Place there will only be 4 spaces available. To ensure Covid-19 safety regulations, there will be some guidelines and new procedures to follow. The cost of the 6-week course face to face will be £75.
Times for these classes will be 7.30pm – 8.30pm and the dates are:
Week 1: Wednesday 16th September
Week 2: Wednesday 30th September
Week 3: Wednesday 7th October
Week 4: Wednesday 14th October
Week 5: Wednesday 21st October
Week 6: Wednesday 28th October
